The Hip Hop ConnXion just returned from the 2006 USA and World Hip Hop Championships taking 1st place Gold in the USA Finals and 2nd place Silver in the World Finals. As well as having their headquarters based in Wheeling and Aurora, they have recently opened branches in Indiana, Michigan and the most recent, in downtown Chicago. The HHC is a company dedicated to inspiring others to be the best that they can be by making positive choices in life. As partners with the D.A.R.E, program, the HHC performs across the country for schools, giving educational presentations, all the way up to performing at events such as the World Hip Hop Championships or as an opening act for recording.

Passionate, stylish, edgy, youthful, powerful. Chicago Ballet is the first ballet company in Chicago in over 20 years to be able to celebrate its third anniversary. Through the vision of artistic director, Paul Abrahamson, Chicago Ballet has established its own artistic and administrative home in Logan Square and opened the only ballet school in Chicago affiliated with a professional ballet company. With support form Alderman Rey Colon and our state Senator, Iris Martinez, Chicago Ballet studios will have a grand opening in August after substantial renovations and updates. Director/Choreographer Stacey Archer-Little has produced award-winning choreography in Hawaii and Chicago, and recently won the Dance Chicago 2006 Outstanding Choreography “New Voice” Award. With character education and volunteer service as important as their dance training, BPD Danceforce continues to produce exemplary dancers with high standards of character, and award-winning choreography. Live Music by Stone
Stone (a.k.a. Winston Damon) has created music in numerous genre’s and disciplines for two decades. He plays drums, percussion, bass, keys, tuba, trombone, flute, didgereedoo and electric cello (strapped on like a guitar). Recording artists he has worked with include The Drovers, Tiny Tim, Sugar Blue, Liz Carroll, Sonia Dada, and Billy Corgan. His many commissions for dance include Eddy Ocampo, Chicago Moving Company, Bob Eisen, Hedwig Dances, Chicago Repertory Dance Ensemble, Melissa Thodos, and Hubbard Street Dance. For a decade, He has worked for Trinity Academy of Irish dance in the roles of musician, producer, arranger and musical director. Stone has also served as collaborative choreographer for Jelly Eye, Sock Monkeys, Chicago Moving Company, and Lucky Plush Production, and has performed music on stage ( in character) at Steppenwolf Theatre, Red Moon Theatre and in the New Line Cinema film “Blink” with Madeline Stowe and Aiden Quinn. He currently performs with Dolleye, Mucca Pazza (a 26 piece “circus punk” marching band), Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra, solo and with his critically acclaimed band Ulele. He is also a visual artist and clothing designer.

Harold Cromer was born in New York City, and began his 50 year career as a tap dancer on roller skates at the Hudson Guild in Hell’s Kitchen. He made his Broadway debut with Bert Lahr, Ethel Merman (later replaced by Gypsy Rose Lee), and Betty Grable in Du Barry Was A Lady. Mr. Cromer later performed around the world as a member of the well-known song and dance comedy team, Stump and Stumpy, with James Cross. They appeared in leading theaters and night clubs with Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday and Count Basie. As well, Stump and Stumpy toured with Nat Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, the Ink Spots, Stan Kenton, and Sophie Tucker, among others. In the late 1950’s, Harold became the Master of Ceremonies to Rock and Roll’s The Biggest Show of Stars, introducing such talents as Buddy Holly, Paul Anka, Bobby Darin, Fats Domino, Chubby Checker, Frankie Avalon, Chuck Berry, Aretha Franklin, and Marvin Gaye. Mr. Cromer returned to Broadway in 1978 in The American Dance Machine as a guest soloist, which later toured to many cities in the U.S., Japan, and Europe . Mr. Cromer is one of our living legends of Tap Dance. It is our honor and privilege to perform his choreography!
